Human activities near the coast are responsible for most plastic leaking into the ocean. So our plastic bottles are collected by hand from within 30 miles of coastlines without a formal waste or recycling system. Community collection is followed by bottle certification to ensure the plastic is ethically sourced. These pesky bottles are chopped, ground, washed, melted, and reformulated at the processing centre into high-quality chip.

Chip is melted, spun and as if by magic (but it's actually very scientific), our fibre is created. The fibre becomes yarn, and it's woven into our super strong ripstop fabric.. which makes our kick-ass bags.
